In 2019, Omega Line, the Group’s first production plant in Sri Lanka, was destroyed in a fire.
Three years later, this June saw the inauguration of the new Omega Line plant: larger, more attractive and more efficient than the original factory.

The new building is even more sustainable than the previous one: a 2,377 NWP photovoltaic plant has been installed, the roof is ventilated and the perimeter walls are insulated. Temperature control systems have been provided for to optimise energy consumption, and the cooling system has been divided to guarantee maximum efficiency even with reduced loads.
The building is also fully protected from fire with a sprinkler system, the first to be installed in our factories in Sri Lanka.
“We resolved to rebuild Omega Line and get it back up and running, and we’ve done just that, with a new project that will help the Group to grow.”
