RESPONSIBLE MANAGEMENT OF MANUFACTURING PROCESSES AND SUPPLIERS

Purchasing raw materials and finished products

Careful control of suppliers and purchases from leading industry companies.

  • We provide these companies with our Technical Specifications for Compliance, which contain Calzedonia Group's requirements;
  • The Technical Specifications for Compliance include mechanical, chemical and physical requirements. The document is generally aligned with the strictest regulations in force in the countries in which the Group operates;
  • For the most part, our suppliers have the main environmental certifications that are generally required, as sustainability has been an issue crucial to the yarn and fabric production market for quite some time now;
  • We generally ask our suppliers to expressly approve the Technical Specifications for Compliance and the Group's Code of Ethics;
  • Up until 2021, no announced sustainability audits have been carried out (0%), nor indeed semiannounced (0%) or announced (0%); instead, we have based our appraisals on the declaration of conformity received.

We are currently preparing a programme of sustainability audits to be run in 2022 on the main suppliers of raw materials and semifinished products. Having identified a threshold of materiality of purchases of one million euros a year, audits are expected to be carried out on at least 50% of suppliers above that threshold. At present, no interviews are envisaged with workers nor audits involving trade union representatives.
